In terms of the Senior Mechanical Engineering role, you will have several key responsibilities including having technical authority for mechanical systems such as pressure vessels and piping, being responsible for the development of mechanical specifications, managing mechanical scope change, managing engineering support and participating in engineering design reviews. In addition to these duties, you will also be required to take on a project management role and an individual will need to have experience in managing teams in order to successfully deliver projects. The organisation is looking for talented individuals to join their dynamic team and so have several essential criteria that a candidate must meet. On an educational level the company is looking for someone who has a degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline and has CEng status. On a technical and experience level, they want someone who is familiar with mechanical system design interfaces such as materials and corrosion, structures and process systems, and someone who has experience of managing a team consisting of more junior personnel. In addition to these essential criteria the company would also like an individual who: • Has experience of the specification of mechanical systems. • Has experience gained in either Appraise/Select, Define/Execute or Operations. • Has a proven ability to manage engineering on several projects simultaneously.
