My government client requires an experienced Tester / Technical Author to work on a 3 month contract based in Exeter. The role will involve understanding software functionality and determining sets of test conditions. Writing of appropriate test scripts to ensure that test conditions are satisfied.
Interpret and execute supplied test cases using agreed methods and standards. Documents test failures and successes compared with pre-determined criteria. Report test results to manager and/or other colleagues in a clear and concise manner. Perform software testing following test scripts, ensuring that issues are logged and re-tested when resolved, to ensure that software is at the required quality standard and able to release in line with key milestone dates as shown on the project plan. To apply for this position it is essential that the candidate has:

1. Experience of writing and running test scripts on web-based applications.
2. Experience of testing complex reports.
3. Experience of writing user manuals.

It would be desirable for the candidate to have an ISEB in Software Testing.
